October just got a whole lot happier for San Diego families! All month long, the legendary USS Midway Museum — the U.S. Navy’s longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century — is celebrating “October is Kids Month Aboard Midway,” with free admission for kids.
Throughout October 2026, children ages 4 to 12 come aboard FREE with one full-priced adult admission ticket. Two free youth admissions are available per adult, and the offer works both online and at the museum’s ticket office — just enter the promo code KidsFree when buying tickets online.
The celebration is part of San Diego’s citywide Kids Free 2026 program, in which more than 70 museums and attractions across the region open their doors to young explorers at no cost all month long.
Once aboard, families can explore 60 exhibits across the massive flight deck and hangar decks, climb aboard 29 restored aircraft, hear real sailors’ stories from veteran volunteers, and enjoy interactive exhibits plus the Junior Pilot program. And remember: children 3 years old and younger always visit the Midway for free, all year round.
