The Museum of Modern Art is about to make the invisible visible. On November 14, 2026, MoMA opens Na Mira: NO SMOKING, the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in New York and her largest presentation to date, on view in the Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Studio through February 15, 2027.
For this special occasion, Na Mira has created a brand-new media installation made specially for the Studio. Working with tools you cannot see with the naked eye — radio frequencies, infrared heat, and holography — she builds dreamlike projections that fill the space and turn perception itself into the artwork.
Mira’s work draws inspiration from Korean shamanism and the history of experimental film, exploring language, memory, and the systems we use to create images. Her poetic approach invites visitors to slow down and notice what usually escapes the eye: heat, signals, transmission, and the quiet magic of how images come to life.
Organized by curator Sophie Cavoulacos with curatorial associate Abby Hermosilla, NO SMOKING promises an unforgettable sensory experience — a reminder that art can still surprise us in wonderful, mysterious ways. Mark your calendars: this is one fall opening you will not want to miss.
