Stage Fright: Dallas Rings In Halloween With a Free Family Festival at Sammons Park

Halloween morning in Dallas is about to get delightfully spooky. On Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the AT&T Performing Arts Center hosts the 5th annual Stage Fright: A Halloween Family Festival at Sammons Park in the Dallas Arts District — and admission is completely free with RSVP.

The festival is presented in collaboration with the Dallas Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs, giving families a friendly way to meet the department’s units through a playful “stick-r-treat” activity: visit a unit, collect a sticker. Young musicians from Personalized Learning Preparatory at J.W. Ray Learning Center will deliver a “spooky” musical performance, and choreographer Daunte “Cheesy” Borner will teach everyone iconic zombie dance moves.

The fun keeps coming with creepy creatures from the Dallas Zoo, a petting zoo, a DJ dance party, a costume contest, and carnival bites from JBW Vending. Animal lovers can stop by the SPCA of Texas booth and its Dog Adoption Van to meet adorable adoptable pets and learn about the organization’s lifesaving work — no tricks, just treats and plenty of puppy kisses.

Blankets and low lawn chairs are welcome; strollers are allowed for this event only. Free with RSVP, Stage Fright is part of the AT&T PAC’s free annual festival series, continuing its tradition of bringing free arts and community celebrations to families across North Texas.
