The Dallas Opera Opens Its Season with The Cunning Little Vixen, Oct 30–Nov 7

Something wild is coming to the Winspear Opera House! The Dallas Opera opens its 2026/2027 season with Leoš Janáček’s beloved fairy-tale opera The Cunning Little Vixen, running October 30 through November 7, 2026.

This enchanting production follows a clever young vixen as she outsmarts the humans around her, marries her foxy love and discovers the joyful circle of life in the forest. The opera arrives in Dallas as a brand-new co-production with the Bavarian State Opera and Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, promising a visually stunning staging for one of opera’s most heartfelt stories.

Four performances only: October 30, November 1, 4 and 7, 2026. Whether you’re a lifelong opera lover or bringing a friend for the first time, this is one of the most magical nights on the Dallas cultural calendar this fall. Tickets are on sale now at dallasopera.org.
