Country Music Hall of Fame Salutes Heroes with Free Veterans Day Admission on November 11

On Wednesday, November 11, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will open its doors free of charge to every active-duty and retired member of the United States Armed Forces — and to up to three of their immediate family members each. It is the museum’s heartfelt way of saying thank you on Veterans Day.

Between 10 a.m. and noon, the celebration continues in the museum’s Taylor Swift Education Center, where visitors can create postcards for active-duty troops alongside the legendary Hatch Show Print. With a wooden stylus and guidance from museum educators, guests make their own printing plate and run it through the museum’s circa-1940s proof press. Through the nonprofit organization A Million Thanks, the finished cards are mailed to service members stationed overseas.

The tribute fits the museum like a glove: country music has a long, proud history of stars who served, including Hall of Fame members Johnny Cash, George Jones, Willie Nelson, and Elvis Presley.

Service members will also enjoy 10% off at the Museum Store and the Hatch Show Print retail shop on November 11. Timed tickets can be reserved by calling 615-416-2001 or picked up at the museum’s box office that day; a valid military ID is required, and advance reservations are highly recommended. Free admission covers the museum only — tours of Hatch Show Print and Historic RCA Studio B are offered for a separate fee, based on availability.
