The Who’s TOMMY Rocks Denver: Legendary Rock Opera Hits the Buell Theatre Oct 16–18

Denver, get ready to rock. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is bringing a bold new production of The Who’s TOMMY to the Buell Theatre for three electrifying nights, October 16 through 18, 2026.

Fresh from Broadway, this high-voltage revival reimagines one of rock’s most influential works with renewed energy and theatrical spectacle. The story follows young Tommy Walker, who retreats into his own world, staring endlessly into the mirror — until an extraordinary gift for pinball catapults the quiet teenager into an unlikely celebrity, in a tale of myth and spectacle powered by unforgettable anthems like “Pinball Wizard,” “See Me, Feel Me,” “Sensation” and “I’m Free.”

Since its 1969 debut, The Who’s rock opera has changed the course of music history — and this dazzling new production feels more relevant than ever, blending the band’s legendary sound with a fresh theatrical vision.

Tickets are available through the DCPA box office. Three nights only — Denver won’t want to miss this one.
