Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is handing Halloween night to the grown-ups. Monster Masquerade, the zoo’s most popular Adult Night of the year, returns on Thursday, October 29, from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. — a 21-and-older celebration where the animals meet the masquerade.
Admission is $34.95 for the general public and $31.50 for members, and every ticket includes one complimentary canned drink, with non-alcoholic and gluten-free options available. The evening packs in Halloween-themed trivia hosted by the Denver Trivia League, a special effects makeup demonstration, a costume contest with festive photo ops, a silent disco, carousel karaoke, and live music — including violin by Ana Luna Uribe and guitar by Matt Flaherty. Tarot readings in the Tropical Discovery Komodo Room add a touch of mystery.
The animals get the spotlight too. Creepy-crawly Animal Ambassadors roam the night, and the schedule features a Predator Ridge demonstration, an elephant care specialist talk, a fruit bat talk, a flying fox talk, and a tiger demonstration. It is a rare chance to experience the zoo after dark while supporting a nonprofit conservation mission.
Monster Masquerade sells out fast every year. Tickets are available now at denverzoo.org — grab your costume, rally your friends, and make it a howling good night in City Park.
