Halloween Meets the Orchestra: The Nightmare Before Christmas Comes Alive with the Colorado Symphony

Get ready for a Halloween treat like no other: the Colorado Symphony is bringing Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to life at Boettcher Concert Hall from October 29 to 31, 2026, right over Halloween weekend.

In the Symphony’s beloved “Movie at the Symphony” format, Tim Burton’s stop-motion classic will be projected on the big screen while the full orchestra performs Danny Elfman’s unforgettable score live. That means every eerie-sweet note of “This Is Halloween,” “What’s This?” and “Sally’s Song” will fill the hall in glorious surround sound, played by world-class musicians just steps away from your seat.

Follow Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, as he stumbles upon Christmas Town and decides to give the holidays his own spooky makeover. It is the perfect mash-up of the season: part Halloween chills, part Christmas magic, and all heart.

Whether you grew up singing along with Jack and Sally or you are introducing the film to a new generation, hearing this music live is pure joy. Costumes are welcome, and the whole family can join the fun.

Performances run October 29, 30 and 31 at Boettcher Concert Hall in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Tickets are available now through the Colorado Symphony box office. Do not wait too long, Halloween shows sell fast!
