Ghosts in the Oaks Returns to City Park October 15–18 With an Out-of-This-World Halloween

Costumes, candy and a little outer-space magic are coming to the Heart of the City. City Park’s beloved family-friendly Halloween fundraiser, Ghosts in the Oaks, returns for four nights this October, from Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 18, and this year the fun goes to another galaxy with an outer-space theme.

Your ticket unlocks an entire evening of Halloween adventure throughout Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland after dark. Families can enjoy unlimited rides on the amusement park’s 17 attractions, explore the trick-or-treat path through the Historic New Orleans Train Garden, and discover activities and entertainment beneath the Park’s iconic live oaks. Each child receives a reusable trick-or-treat bag, so there is no need to bring one from home.

Come dressed in your Halloween best and get ready for sweet treats, spooky surprises and plenty of memory-making moments. When the exploring works up an appetite, food and beverages are available for purchase at Parker’s Pizza and Parker’s Café.

Early admission runs from 5 to 9 p.m. for $35, and general admission from 6 to 9 p.m. for $30. Children 2 and under are admitted free, and Friends of City Park members receive $5 off general admission. All tickets must be purchased in advance, and the event traditionally sells out — Saturday early admission is already gone, so grab your tickets soon.
