Seattle Center Sculpture Walk 2026: New Public Art, Free to Explore All Year

Seattle is getting a free open-air art gallery right in the heart of the city. The Seattle Center Sculpture Walk 2026 fills the campus grounds with a fresh round of temporary art installations, free for everyone to explore throughout the year.

Presented in collaboration with the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture as part of Seattle Center’s Temporary Art Program, this year’s walk features new commissions by artists selected through a competitive process. Will Jewett’s “Find Your Angle” sets a playful tone at Theatre Commons, with a series of lounge chairs along the steps that invite visitors to kick back and take in their surroundings from a whole new point of view.

New works such as “Cambia” and “Koi No Taki Nobori” add color, movement and imagination to the Center’s already iconic landscape, turning an ordinary stroll into a small discovery. The installations sit outdoors, are open all day and cost nothing — perfect for families, photographers and anyone looking for a little extra inspiration on a Seattle afternoon.

Funding for the program comes from Seattle Center’s 1% for Arts funds along with Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken, a happy reminder that public art in Seattle is truly a team effort. Pair the walk with a visit to nearby attractions and make it a full day downtown. Whether you are a local or just passing through, the Sculpture Walk is a wonderful reason to slow down, look around — and look up.
