Three San Diego FC Players Called Up to Represent Their National Teams

San Diego FC is earning recognition on the world stage! Three of the club’s players have been called up to represent their national teams during the September FIFA international window, a proud moment for the young club in its 2026 season.

Designated Player Elias Achouri will suit up for Tunisia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Achouri brings serious experience to the Eagles of Carthage, with 33 international caps and a 2026 World Cup under his belt. Midfielder Onni Valakari has been summoned by Finland for UEFA Nations League action, where his 15 caps make him one of the team’s trusted engines. And goalkeeper CJ Dos Santos has earned a call from Cape Verde, adding to the island nation’s growing football story.

International call-ups are one of football’s great honors, and seeing three San Diego FC players wear their countries’ colors at once speaks volumes about the talent being built right here in America’s Finest City. The club keeps raising the bar, and these selections show the league — and the world — is paying attention.

Congratulations to Elias, Onni and CJ on this well-earned recognition!
