Phoenix is in for a delightful dose of dance magic! Ballet Arizona will stage Don Quixote, ballet’s ultimate romantic comedy, at Symphony Hall from February 11 to 14, 2027, as part of the company’s sparkling 40th anniversary season.
Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ beloved novel and set to the music of Ludwig Minkus, this lively classic bursts with theatrical energy, cheeky characters and dazzling dance. Brimming with joy, humor and Spanish flair, it is a celebration of love and unforgettable fun for audiences of all ages.
The production features the timeless choreography of Marius Petipa with adaptation and additional choreography by Daniela Cardim, and — a special treat — live music by The Phoenix Symphony, whose orchestra brings Minkus’ vibrant score to life right from the pit.
Ballet Arizona fans can also go behind the scenes before opening night: on January 29, 2027, the company hosts a Studio Spotlight evening with an in-studio rehearsal, insights from the artistic team and a Q&A with the dancers. Tickets for Don Quixote are on sale now through balletaz.org, with subscription packages available for those who want to enjoy the full 40th anniversary season.
