Phoenix Zoo Celebrates Día de los Muertos with Music, Dance and Color on November 1

Phoenix is getting ready to celebrate one of the most beautiful traditions of the year, and the Phoenix Zoo is the perfect place to do it. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Zoo invites the whole family to a joyful Día de los Muertos celebration, a day dedicated to life, memory and togetherness, all in one of the most beloved places in the Valley.

Step into a world of color, music, food and tradición. The day will be filled with vibrant altars, live mariachi music, captivating Ballet Folklórico dance performances, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities inspired by the rich traditions of this cherished Mexican holiday. There will also be live entertainment throughout the morning, so every corner of the Zoo feels alive with celebration.

Día de los Muertos is a tradition that joyfully honors loved ones who have passed, filling the day with music, food, altars and memories — a moving reminder of the lasting bond between the living and those who came before us.

The celebration runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is included with general admission or membership, presented by Valley Toyota Dealers. Bring the family, wear your brightest colors and celebrate life the Phoenix way. Photo: Phoenix Zoo
