Right on International Drive, a building landed upside down — and it is still there. WonderWorks Orlando is the famous inverted laboratory where science and play collide: 35,000 square feet of hands-on experiments spread across more than 100 interactive exhibits, all in one delightfully topsy-turvy house.
The legend says a top-secret laboratory from the Bermuda Triangle was lifted by a man-made tornado and dropped onto International Drive. Luckily, every exhibit survived intact — and guests can now explore them all. Start in the Natural Disasters Zone, where the Hurricane Shack blasts 74-mph winds and the earthquake simulator shakes the floor beneath your feet. Dip your fingers into 28-degree water and discover how long you could have lasted on the Titanic.
The adventure continues in the Bubble Lab, on the legendary Bed of Nails, and in Space Discovery, where you can don a spacesuit and land a space shuttle. Cross the inversion tunnel, snap playful photos in the Far Out Illusion Gallery, and then head down to the basement: a glow-in-the-dark ropes course (one of the tallest indoor courses anywhere), a laser tag arena and the 4D XD Motion Theater await, with unlimited play throughout the building.
Located at 9067 International Drive and open daily from 9 a.m. to midnight, WonderWorks is one of the best indoor family plans in Orlando — sunshine or storm, the fun never stops inside the upside-down house. Happy City News readers can book admission through Viator, where the attraction holds a 4.6-star rating from more than 1,100 reviews, with tickets from $40.46: Book your WonderWorks Orlando tickets on Viator.
