O What A Night! 2026: Ogden Museum’s Signature Gala Returns October 17

One of New Orleans’ most glamorous nights is almost here. The Ogden Museum of Southern Art hosts its signature fundraising gala, O What A Night!, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, celebrating the art, artists, and collectors that make the American South shine.

The evening begins with a silent auction preview cocktail reception in the historic Patrick F. Taylor Library, followed by a seated dinner among a joyful community of Southern artists and art lovers. A live auction of artwork and arts-centric experiences keeps the excitement going, and the night closes with live music and dancing.

This year’s gala honors Opus Award recipients Francis X. Pavy, the internationally acclaimed Lafayette, Louisiana-based artist, and Stacey & Michael Burke, major collection donors and longtime champions of Southern art. Gala co-chairs Suzie & Ted Bloch III, M.D., Beverly Dale and Dayna Haynie invite the city to join the celebration.

A special Patron Party on Thursday, October 15, at the Mid-Century Modern home of Jessie and Beau Haynes sets the stage for the weekend. Every ticket supports the Ogden Museum’s mission of sharing the visual art and culture of the American South with New Orleans and the world.
