The most magical afternoon of Nashville’s holiday season is on the calendar: Nashville Ballet has announced that its beloved Nutcracker Tea will return on Sunday, November 22, 2026, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.
One of Middle Tennessee’s most cherished family traditions, the Nutcracker Tea is designed especially for young audiences — though guests of every age are enchanted. The Fisher Center is transformed into the magical world of Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King and the Nutcracker Prince, with an interactive, abbreviated performance inspired by Nashville’s Nutcracker, plus festive treats, holiday crafts, whimsical activities and character encounters.
Families can also capture keepsake memories with professional holiday-themed photography, while adults enjoy drinks and small bites.
The afternoon is the official kickoff to Paul Vasterling’s Emmy Award-winning Nashville’s Nutcracker, returning to TPAC’s Jackson Hall from November 27 through December 27, 2026, with single tickets starting at $48.
More than a celebration, the Nutcracker Tea supports the next generation of dancers: proceeds benefit the School of Nashville Ballet Scholarship Fund, which provides more than $250,000 annually in scholarships so students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can access dance education. This year’s event is co-chaired by Mrs. Ann Ralls Brown, Mrs. Whitney Kalb and Mrs. Alexandra Schneider.
