Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel and ‘Life of Many Colors’ Museum Celebrate Grand Opening in Downtown Nashville

Nashville has a sparkling new landmark: Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel and the adjoining Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum are officially open in the heart of downtown, welcoming visitors to a destination inspired by the life, music and legacy of one of country music’s most beloved stars.

The grand opening was celebrated on October 6 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony joined by children whose lives have been enriched by Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, honoring her lifelong commitment to books, storytelling and young readers. Butterfly-shaped confetti filled the air as the white ribbon was cut, a sweet nod to Dolly’s signature spirit.

Created in partnership with Dolly Parton and Herschend, the 11-story SongTeller Hotel at 211 Commerce Street features 240 signature rooms and suites, the SongTeller Café, elevated dining and two live entertainment spaces: Parton’s Live, celebrating her music and performance legacy, and Jolene’s, an intimate rooftop-style venue named after one of her most iconic songs.

Right next door, Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum takes guests on an immersive journey from the night she was born in 1946 through her childhood in the Great Smoky Mountains, her rise on the Opry stages and her evolution into a global superstar, with music, fashion, film memorabilia and personal stories along the way. Dolly herself was deeply involved in shaping both the hotel and the museum, reviewing details and sharing memories with the creative team.
