Dallas is inviting its youngest architects to take over the drawing board. On Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Klyde Warren Park hosts Build Your City! with AD EX, a free, hands-on afternoon where students and families build, from the ground up, the city they think Dallas should be.
Armed with craft supplies and simple building techniques, young creators can dream big in the park’s Lecture Hall. Does the city need a new park? Design one. A whole new kind of school? Show everyone what it looks like. A library in a tree, a bridge full of gardens, a neighborhood where everyone walks to ice cream? If it would make Dallas a better place to live, this is the afternoon to build it and share the idea.
The best part is how easy it is to join. The activity is free, open to all ages, and designed as a come-and-go experience, so families can stay for a few minutes or settle in for the full two hours. It fits perfectly into a Saturday at the park: build a miniature city, then stay to play on the lawn and explore downtown.
Klyde Warren Park is at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas. Bring your imagination — the building supplies, and the big ideas, are waiting.
