The Columbus Symphony at the Ohio Theatre: An Orchestra in Full Bloom

Under the Ohio Theatre’s gilded ceiling, the Columbus Symphony is sounding better than ever — an orchestra that has grown from regional ensemble to a recording, touring force while keeping its hometown heart.

The 2026-27 Masterworks season at the Ohio Theatre pairs the great symphonic canon with living composers and star soloists, while the beloved Picnic with the Pops series summers outdoors at Columbus Commons and holiday pops fill December. The orchestra’s education programs — young people’s concerts, school partnerships and its youth orchestras — reach tens of thousands of central Ohio students annually.

Friday and Saturday nights downtown start with dinner and end under that chandelier. Columbus has made it a ritual; the Symphony keeps making it worth it.

Great cities sound like something. Columbus sounds like this.
