Las Vegas invites bird lovers to start a Saturday morning outdoors: Clark County Wetlands Park hosts Wetlands Birding on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 8 to 10 a.m., a guided walk for ages 10 and up led by a park naturalist together with a birding expert from Red Rock Audubon.
The theme of this walk is “Habitats — From Water to Sand.” Participants will cross different habitats inside the park and discover which birds favor the water and which are true desert specialists — a cheerful way to learn how much life thrives along the Las Vegas Wash, just minutes from the city.
Advance registration is required and the program costs $5. Registration is available through the park at ccwetlandspark.com. A second Wetlands Birding walk follows on Saturday, November 21, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., starting at the Duck Creek Trailhead, a quieter area of upland habitat where spring songbirds gather.
Clark County Wetlands Park is at 7050 Wetlands Park Lane in Las Vegas. Its trails are open daily from dawn to dusk, and the Nature Center, at (702) 455-7522, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring water, walking shoes and a hat — and get ready to look up and listen.
