COSI is turning up the heat this fall. On Thursday, November 12, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., the Columbus science museum hosts COSI After Dark: Volcanoes, a 21-and-older evening where the building stays open late and every hands-on exhibition gets an eruptive twist.
The After Dark series is one of Columbus’ favorite grown-up traditions: adults get the run of the museum after hours, with themed science activities, demonstrations and surprises built around a single big idea. For Volcanoes night, that means exploring the forces that build mountains, melt rock and reshape entire landscapes — with a drink in hand and no kids in line ahead of you.
Every ticket also includes a signature cocktail, beer or mocktail, plus full after-hours access to COSI’s exhibitions. General admission is $35 online and $40 at the door when tickets are available, and museum members save with $33 admission. Guests 21 and older are welcome with a valid photo ID, and parking is available in the nearby underground garage.
Tickets are selling through COSI’s official website, so eruption fans should grab theirs early — After Dark nights are known to fill the museum floor. Happy City News will be watching for the next theme in the series.
