Dallas: Eva Papamargariti Brings Disappear Here to Dallas Contemporary for Three Days Only

Dallas gets a three-day-only art event this November. From November 19 to 21, 2026, Dallas Contemporary presents Eva Papamargariti: Disappear Here, an exhibition and performance in collaboration with the Aurora Biennial 2026, curated by Julia Kaganskiy.

Papamargariti, an artist based between Athens and London, works across moving image, printed material and sculptural installation. Disappear Here is an audiovisual installation with performative elements that revolves around a very current question: what kind of stories do we tell now? The first myths were shared in small communities as rituals of connection, belonging and communication. Today, new mythologies are crafted and spread in real time inside the attention economy, through avatars, memes, short videos, AI prompts, images and online communities.

The work sets out to decipher how contemporary narratives are crafted and consumed in the era of the ‘extreme self’, and asks who gets to be the author, and how storytellers shapeshift along the way. On Saturday, November 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., the biennial performance of Disappear Here takes place at the museum, with free admission.

Disappear Here is part of the Aurora Biennial, States of Becoming, a citywide program of free public art, performances and artist-led experiences across Dallas and Fort Worth from November 4 to 21. Dallas Contemporary, at 161 Glass Street in the Design District, offers free admission through 2026, so this short, sharp burst of digital-age storytelling costs nothing to experience, but it will be gone after November 21.
