Austin is about to turn delightfully Celtic. The Austin Celtic Festival and Highland Games celebrates its 30th edition on Saturday and Sunday, November 7-8, 2026, at Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms, 10621 Pioneer Farms Drive.
For three decades this community festival has celebrated Irish, Scottish, Welsh and wider Celtic heritage with a full weekend of Highland Games – this year listed alongside the 2026 Scottish Highland Games World Championships – plus Irish dance, workshops and talks from the ACF School of Traditional Arts, storytelling, a showcase of Celtic dog breeds and miniature horses, traditional food and artisan vendors.
The festival runs Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., rain or shine. Parking is free, and tickets are sold online only – none will be available at the gate – so book ahead and bring the whole family.
The festival is produced by the Austin Celtic Association and the Celtic Cultural Center of Texas, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which makes every ticket a small gift back to keeping Celtic culture alive in Central Texas. Kilts are optional; big smiles are guaranteed.
