The Missouri History Museum keeps its youngest historians a room of their own. The History Clubhouse is a dedicated children’s space where kids can climb, dress up, build and role-play their way through St. Louis stories — serving riverboat passengers, stocking a store, and staging the past at exactly their scale.
Around it, the museum layers free family rituals all week: ‘Storytelling in the Museum’ on Tuesday and Friday mornings in the Clubhouse, ‘Museum Babies’ sessions for the very littlest visitors, and History Exploration Days with themed crafts and activities. Everything is free, drop-in friendly and timed for preschool attention spans — the rare museum morning that ends with a nap in the car.
It is how St. Louis grows its next generation of history lovers.
The History Clubhouse is at the Missouri History Museum, 5700 Lindell Boulevard in Forest Park. Program times at mohistory.org.
