The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra brings Tim Burton’s beloved classic to Powell Hall in a way you’ve never experienced: Edward Scissorhands in concert, with the film on the big screen while the orchestra performs Danny Elfman’s unforgettable score live. Performances are Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m.
Conducted by Larry Loh, the evening runs 2 hours and 20 minutes including intermission. According to the SLSO, the orchestra is among the first ever to present the Tim Burton classic in this symphonic setting — a first-time SLSO performance of this film-in-concert experience.
The concerts are part of the SLSO’s October 2026 lineup under Music Director Stéphane Denève‘s 2026/27 season — a season that also includes highlights like Jeff Goldblum, Kristiina Poska, and a Coltrane centennial tribute with Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves.
