Boo at the Zoo Returns: Kid-Friendly Halloween Nights in St. Louis

One of St. Louis’s favorite fall traditions is back! Boo at the Zoo runs on select nights from October 9 through October 30, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. (last entry at 8 p.m.), at the Saint Louis Zoo in Forest Park — and it’s the non-scary Halloween celebration families love.

This year’s event takes over an expanded footprint, creeping up Historic Hill with more room to explore. Note: this is not a trick-or-treating event — it’s an evening of festive fun and animal encounters. General admission is $16, $13 for Zoo members, and free for children under 2. Parking is free on both Zoo lots as available.

Your evening admission includes the Primate House, Dinoroarus, the 4D theater showing “Spookley’s 4D Jamboree”, the Insectarium, the Herpetarium, the Sea Lion Sound aqua tunnel, the Conservation Carousel, and Stingrays at Caribbean Cove.

Sensory-Friendly Night — tonight, October 12

Today’s event night is the Sensory-Friendly Night, designed for neurodivergent guests with sensory sensitivities — with sensory maps, quiet areas, and trained staff (the Zooline Railroad does not run that night).
