Ring in the New Year at Seattle Center: Free Music, Light Shows and Fireworks at the Space Needle

Seattle knows how to say goodbye to the year in style — and this New Year’s Eve will be no exception! Seattle Center is closing out its beloved Winterfest with a spectacular, completely FREE celebration on December 31, open to everyone.

The party takes over the entire campus. The Armory hosts live music from Northwest favorites Copastetic from 8pm until midnight, keeping the dance floor moving into the new year. At 9pm, the iconic International Fountain transforms into the “Fountain of Light,” a dazzling spectacle with DJ Sharlese spinning tunes alongside video art by Collide-O-Scope. And just before midnight, all eyes turn skyward for “New Year’s at the Needle,” the Space Needle’s legendary fireworks extravaganza lighting up the Seattle night.

It’s the perfect family-friendly way to ring in the new year: world-class entertainment, stunning light shows and unforgettable fireworks — all without spending a dime, in the heart of the city.

See you at Seattle Center on December 31 — let’s welcome the new year together, Seattle style!
