Seattle’s most flavorful cultural weekend is almost here! Turkfest returns to Seattle Center this Saturday and Sunday, October 10-11, from 12pm to 5pm, filling the Armory Food & Event Hall with the sights, sounds and tastes of Türkiye.
Part of the beloved Seattle Center Festál series of 25 free cultural festivals, Turkfest celebrates Turkish arts and expression, weaving together Eastern and Western influences. Watch graceful folk dancers in vibrant costumes, listen to live musicians, browse textile displays and join hands-on workshops.
Come hungry: the all-weekend food court brings together local Turkish restaurants and cafes, including Berna’s Bakery, Koza Café, Sofra Turkish Grill and Yakin Family Kebab. Savor lahmacun, often called Turkish pizza, boat-shaped pide flatbreads, juicy kebabs, delicate manti dumplings and sweet, flaky baklava, with prices ranging from $5 to $25.
Don’t miss the Turkish Tea Corner, where experts brew tea the traditional way in a double teapot, and the Turkish Coffee Corner, serving rich coffee along with centuries-old stories of Turkish hospitality.
The best part? Admission is completely free and open to everyone. Bring the family, bring your appetite and discover why Seattle loves Turkfest year after year.
