The Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show is celebrating a major milestone: 50 years of handmade artistry! From Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Pennsylvania Convention Center will fill with the work of 195 of the nation’s finest craft artists, selected through a highly competitive jury process.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can meet the makers and shop one-of-a-kind pieces across 13 craft categories — from dazzling jewelry and ceramics to textiles, sculpture, and art to wear. Every artist keeps all of the proceeds from their sales, so each purchase directly supports working artists.
The anniversary weekend is packed with special programming. A Preview Gala on Thursday, November 5 opens the celebration with first access to the artists and their work. On Saturday, acclaimed clay artists Syd Carpenter, Roberto Lugo, and Adebunmi Gbadebo will share their creative journeys in a guest speaker event, joined by an interactive scarf-tying presentation and a fashion event showcasing stunning wearable art.
For half a century, this beloved show has done more than celebrate craft — it has raised more than $15 million for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, funding educational programs, special exhibitions, and conservation equipment. Come experience five decades of artistry under one roof and take home something handmade to treasure.
