NOLA Funk Fest Returns October 16–18 with Three Days of Music on the Riverfront

Get ready to groove: the second annual NOLA Funk Fest returns to New Orleans from October 16 to 18, 2026, bringing three full days of funk, soul, and Louisiana rhythm to Audubon Aquarium and the Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park at 1 Canal Street.

More than 30 of the city’s best local funk acts will light up two stages with non-stop live music. The lineup includes a heartfelt tribute to Allen Toussaint with the Toussaint Family Band, plus George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners Supa’ Set, Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph, JoJo Hermann and Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz, Dumpstaphunk, Cimafunk, and Anders Osborne featuring Jackie Greene. The festival is all ages and takes place in person, rain or shine.

NOLA Funk Fest is much more than a party: it is the heartbeat of the mission behind the Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience (LMHE), a forthcoming museum on a grand scale dedicated to preserving Louisiana’s rich musical history, from Congo Square to the sounds of today. Every performance and every cultural activation at the festival helps build awareness, momentum, and real financial support for the future museum, projected to open in 2027.

Tickets are available through the festival’s official Eventbrite page. Attendees should expect bag checks at all entrances, and the festival provides ADA access so everyone can enjoy the music by the river.
