Roger Miller Takes Center Stage Again in New Country Music Hall of Fame Exhibit

A country music legend is getting a brand-new spotlight in Nashville. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will open “Roger Miller: Wit, Wisdom, and Wonder,” a major new exhibition celebrating the life and career of one of the genre’s most brilliant and beloved songwriters, on Friday, November 6.

The exhibit runs through March 2028 and is included with museum admission. Visitors will travel through Miller’s remarkable journey: from his chart-topping 1960s crossover hits like “Dang Me” and “King of the Road” to his Broadway triumph as the first country artist to win a Tony Award, plus an astonishing 11 Grammy wins.

The gallery will feature a short film produced by the museum and narrated by fellow Hall of Fame member Marty Stuart, along with clothing, awards, handwritten notes, song manuscripts, instruments, and rare footage of Miller’s television appearances and performances.

Miller was famous for his lightning-quick wit. Nashville songwriters were known to trail him around town hoping to catch the hilarious lines flying from his mouth, and his songwriting influenced everyone from Willie Nelson and John Prine to Kacey Musgraves.

An illustrated exhibit catalog with a foreword by Grammy winner Dwight Yoakam arrives November 6, and the museum’s official exhibit playlist is already streaming on all major platforms. Reservations are encouraged in advance. Come celebrate the musical genius who made country music laugh.
