Way Late Play Date Brings a Renaissance Faire to Nashville’s Science Center on Nov. 20

Nashville’s Adventure Science Center is trading lab coats for crowns! On Friday, November 20, the museum throws open its doors after hours for Way Late Play Date: The Renaissance of Science, a Renaissance Faire-inspired celebration of inventions, innovations, and the curious minds who shaped our understanding of the world.

Whether you arrive as royalty, a wandering scholar, an alchemist, a knight, or a mischievous court jester, this grown-ups-only evening (21+) is an invitation to play like a kid again — with better drinks. Guests enjoy exclusive after-hours access to every Science Center exhibit, plus live demonstrations and performances, hands-on science activities, Renaissance games and challenges, and a marketplace of artisan vendors. Music and entertainment fill the halls all evening, and food and drinks — including a cocktail bar from Rosemary & Beauty Queen — are available for purchase.

Way Late Play Date runs from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Adventure Science Center in Wedgewood-Houston, just minutes from downtown Nashville. It’s the perfect excuse to gather your friends, don your finest doublet or gown, and raise a glass to curiosity — because at the Renaissance of Science, history inspires discovery and curiosity is always in fashion.
