Some of the best evenings in Nashville happen under the open sky. On Friday, November 6, Nashville Opera teams up with the Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory for Opera on the Mountain, a one-of-a-kind concert evening in one of the city’s most distinctive settings — live music, a starry sky, and good company all around.
The program features a mix of artists and musical genres performing live, from opera favorites to surprises across styles. The idea is simple: bring a picnic and your favorite beverages, gather with friends, and let the music carry the night. It’s the kind of only-in-Nashville evening that reminds you why this city is called Music City.
There are options for every style of night out. Lawn tickets are $30 per person (bring your own chair or blanket), and the Car of Four package admits four guests arriving together in one vehicle for $100. Lower Patio seating at a reserved table with linens and décor runs $50, while Patron Seating offers reserved, covered seating under the tent for $125. Guests looking for a VIP night get early access to the mountain starting at 4:00 p.m., a champagne toast as the sun sets, and a private tour of the newly renovated Dyer Observatory, telescope visit included.
Presented by Nashville Opera — the nonprofit company that has brought live opera to Tennessee since 1981 — Opera on the Mountain is the perfect excuse to experience music, science, and the stars in a single unforgettable night. Tickets are on sale now at nashvilleopera.org.
