Hocus Pocus Pops: Houston Symphony’s Free Family Halloween Concert Returns to The Pavilion

Houston is getting into the Halloween spirit with one of its spookiest musical traditions! The Houston Symphony presents Hocus Pocus Pops, a free family-friendly Halloween concert on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 7:30 PM at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.

Put on your most creative costume — witches, superheroes, skeletons and everything in between are welcome — and enjoy an evening of thrilling music, playful surprises and magical moments. The pre-show fun begins at 6:00 PM with trick-or-treating on the plazas, ghoulish games and festive activities for the whole family.

The program is packed with beloved spooky favorites, including spellbinding themes from John Williams and other movie magic that brings Halloween to life. The highlight of the night is the Goblin Parade: the first 100 boys and girls in costume who check in get to walk right on stage during the concert!

It’s the perfect plan for a family night out: great music, costumes, candy and just the right amount of mischief. Lawn and mezzanine seating are completely free, and picnics are welcome. Come ready to make haunting memories together.
