Bayou City Art Festival Takes Over Memorial Park with Hundreds of Artists This Weekend

Memorial Park turns into an open-air gallery this weekend as the Bayou City Art Festival returns October 9–11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Hundreds of artists from across the nation will showcase original works in 19 different disciplines, from painting and sculpture to ceramics and jewelry — a rare chance to meet the creators up close and learn the stories behind each handmade piece.

This year’s featured artist is Aubrey Hogan, an acrylic painter from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, whose textured, impressionist-inspired canvases explore wilderness, wonder, and resilience. Beyond the art, festival-goers can enjoy live music, local food trucks, hands-on kids’ crafts, and culinary demonstrations.

The festival is produced by the Art Colony Association, a nonprofit that has given back more than $4 million to Houston community organizations over 54 years, with a share of each festival’s proceeds supporting local nonprofits. Admission starts at the S. Picnic Loop entrance (2066 Mangum Rd for GA parking and shuttle). Learn more at bayoucityartfestival.com.
