Houston, get ready to launch your holidays into orbit! Galaxy Lights, presented by Wellby Financial, returns to Space Center Houston on select dates from November 14, 2026 through January 3, 2027, and this year’s edition shines brighter than ever.
This beloved holiday tradition turns the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center into a dazzling galaxy wonderland. Beneath the iconic 747 aircraft at Independence Plaza, guests can swing on radiant LED light swings, wander through a crystal fireworks show choreographed to an epic playlist, and strike a pose at the towering 40-foot-high shooting star display that stretches 100 feet wide.
This season brings a brand-new attraction: a galactic snow slide that’s fun for explorers of every age. Families can also enjoy the signature feature film Holidays in Space, celebrating the season through a cosmic lens.
Galaxy Lights runs from 6 to 10 p.m. on select nights, and admission includes access to Space Center Houston’s exhibitions, so you can explore more than 400 space artifacts before the lights come on. Tickets are limited and popular dates sell out quickly, so booking in advance is recommended.
It takes about 90 minutes to enjoy the full experience. In the event of mild rain, raincoats and umbrellas are encouraged; if severe weather forces a closure, tickets can be redeemed on any other night.
