Pumpkin Festival Brings Fall Family Fun to Chatfield Farms This Weekend

Fall has arrived in Denver, and one of the city’s most beloved October traditions is back. Denver Botanic Gardens invites families to the Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms, a joyful weekend celebration filled with autumn color, farm activities, and, of course, thousands of pumpkins.

The festival takes place Friday through Sunday, October 9–11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chatfield Farms in Littleton. Admission includes access to the sprawling 10-acre pumpkin patch, the famous Chatfield Farms Corn Maze, and a full lineup of family and children’s activities across the historic farm grounds.

Little ones can pick the perfect pumpkin straight from the patch, with pumpkins ranging from just $2 to $15 depending on size and variety. Parents will love a thoughtful touch: free pumpkin daycare, so you can enjoy the rest of the festival with your hands free. Tip: bring a wagon to carry your haul home. Pumpkin sales are credit or debit card only.

Advance tickets are recommended to secure your preferred date and entry time, as the festival is one of the Gardens’ most popular fall events. Last entry is at 4 p.m., and general admission tickets are not available during the festival weekend.

There is no better way to welcome October than a day on the farm surrounded by family, friends, and pumpkins galore.
