Children’s Museum Houston is turning Thanksgiving week into a full week of hands-on celebration. The Great Gobbler Fest runs Monday, November 23 through Sunday, November 29 (closed on Thanksgiving Day), filling the museum with turkey-themed crafts, games and activities designed for curious kids and their grown-ups.
Families can drop in for seasonal workshops, build and tinker in the museum’s maker spaces, and join pop-up activities throughout the day, all included with general admission. Admission is $19.95 for adults and children, with discounts for seniors and military members and free entry for museum members. Children under one get in free, and the museum reminds families that adults must accompany children at all times — and children must accompany adults, too.
Located in the heart of the Museum District, the museum is an easy anchor for a holiday-week outing, with the rest of the district’s gardens and galleries just a short stroll away. It is a cheerful way to keep little hands busy while the turkey plans come together at home.
