Atlanta History Center’s Goizueta Children’s Experience Goes All-In on Sports for 2026

Play ball, Atlanta! The Goizueta Children’s Experience at the Atlanta History Center is back with a fresh new look — and for 2026 it’s all about the thrill of sports. This 5,000-square-foot interactive gallery, designed just for young learners, is celebrating the teams that make Atlanta roar: the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, Dream, and United, all wrapped in games, activities, and stories about teamwork, perseverance, and hometown pride.

Inside, kids can dress up like their favorite players, dive into hands-on play zones, and join the GCE Hidden Gems scavenger hunt to track down landmarks around the space. There are programs every week for every age: the Little Learners Circle nurtures babies through age 3 with sensory-rich play, while music-and-movement sessions let older kids dance out the wiggles and mindfulness moments teach calming skills in a fun, kid-friendly way.

Visiting is easier than ever this year: reserved timed entry is gone. Families can now walk in on a first-come, first-served basis — perfect for a spontaneous day out. Stroller parking, a Northside Hospital-sponsored nursing pod, and surfaces cleaned multiple times a day keep things comfortable for little ones and caregivers alike.

Open Tuesday through Sunday at the History Center’s Buckhead campus, the Goizueta Children’s Experience proves that in Atlanta, history is a team sport — and the youngest fans are on the roster.
