Atlanta’s favorite fall tradition is back — and bigger than ever. Scarecrows in the Garden returns to the Atlanta Botanical Garden from October 1 through November 1, filling the grounds with colorful, handcrafted scarecrows made by local schools, families, artists, businesses and nonprofits.
This year is extra special: the Garden is celebrating its 50th anniversary, so the scarecrow fun goes supersized with a brand-new, invitation-only category — Supersized Scarecrows. These larger-than-life creations join dozens of community entries competing for prizes including Golden Tickets (a year of Garden events), Family-level memberships and curated gift baskets from the Garden Gift Shop.
Visitors get in on the fun too: scan the QR code at the Hardin Visitor Center to vote for the Visitor’s Choice Award. Winners will be announced on social media and in person at the Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival. Grab the kids, stroll the Garden, and vote for your favorite straw-stuffed masterpiece.
