Austin’s favorite garden glows after dark this winter. Luminations returns to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center with all-new light installations along its trails, glowing native landscapes and a new treehouse viewpoint, on select nights from Friday, November 20 through Thursday, December 31 — including a special UT Night on Thursday, December 3.
Families stroll illuminated paths through the native gardens, with stroller- and wagon-friendly trails that make the evening easy with little ones. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for youth ages 3 to 12, with member discounts ($23 and $13) and free entry for children 2 and under. The event runs rain or shine, and a complimentary shuttle runs every 15 minutes between the center and its overflow parking.
Part of the University of Texas at Austin, the Wildflower Center champions native plants year-round; Luminations is its brightest fundraiser of the season, and every ticket supports that mission. Book ahead — the most popular nights go first.
