Rhett & Link Join the Smithsonian: ‘Good Mythical Morning’ Props Go on Display October 22

The National Museum of American History just gave YouTube royalty the Smithsonian treatment! Two blindfolds and a microphone belonging to internet personalities Rhett James McLaughlin (Rhett) and Charles Lincoln Neal III (Link) — the beloved hosts of “Good Mythical Morning” and founders of Mythical Entertainment — are joining the museum’s world-famous collections.

Starting October 22, fans can see these iconic props on display outside “Entertainment Nation,” the museum’s major ongoing exhibition celebrating theater, music, sports, movies and television, on the Third Floor, West. The blindfolds and microphone come straight from the show that millions of “Mythical Beasts” start their mornings with.

It’s a joyful nod to how digital creators have become a real part of American culture — and a fun reason for fans of all ages to plan a trip to the National Mall this fall.

And there’s plenty more to enjoy on the same visit. The museum is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with “In Pursuit of Life, Liberty & Happiness,” an immersive exhibition featuring 250 objects across three floors — including Thomas Jefferson’s drafting desk and the Star-Spangled Banner. Admission is always free, and the museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Constitution Avenue N.W. between 12th and 14th streets.
