Tampa’s favorite green witch is flying home. “Wicked” returns to the Straz Center February 3–28, 2027 — nearly four weeks of the Broadway phenomenon that remains the Bay area’s most reliable sellout and sing-along (from the seats, quietly, please).
The production brings the full spectacle to Morsani Hall: the dragon over the proscenium, the flying monkeys, Elphaba’s gravity-defying first-act finale and a generation’s favorite friendship story told at stadium scale. Past Tampa runs have stretched to a month by demand; this one starts there.
It’s the crown of the Straz’s winter — the show that turns casual theatregoers into subscribers.
Everyone deserves a chance to fly. Tampa gets four weeks of them.
