The Straz Center has stacked its 2026-27 Broadway season like a fireworks finale: after “Buena Vista Social Club” opened the fall, “Hamilton” takes Morsani Hall October 21–November 8, followed by Cirque du Soleil’s “‘Twas the Night Before…” (November 18–29), “Death Becomes Her” (December 8–13) and a 2027 parade — “The Great Gatsby,” “Wicked” (February 3–28), “The Sound of Music,” “Oh, Mary!,” “BOOP!,” Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” “Operation Mincemeat” and “Jersey Boys.”
As one of America’s largest performing arts centers — and the Southeast’s Broadway powerhouse — the Straz pairs the tours with Opera Tampa, the Florida Orchestra and its own Patel Conservatory on a riverfront campus that hums nightly.
Tampa doesn’t get Broadway’s leftovers. It gets the tours, the premieres (“Oh, Mary!” makes its Florida debut here) and the bragging rights.
