In downtown Tampa there’s a city run entirely by children — the Glazer Children’s Museum, where three floors of hands-on exhibits let kids pilot a tugboat, run a veterinary clinic, build skyscrapers, perform on stage and splash through a giant water table in a mini Tampa built to their scale.
Sitting on Curtis Hixon Park beside the Tampa Museum of Art, Glazer is the playful half of downtown’s museum row: its “KidsPort,” firehouse, farm and design studios turn learning into floor-to-ceiling play for ages 0–10, while its programs welcome every family with sensory-friendly days and access initiatives.
Pair it with the park’s lawns and the Riverwalk for the definitive downtown family day.
Grown-ups pay admission. Kids collect the memories — and the mayor’s office of mini Tampa.
