The Holiday Flower and Train Show: The Garden’s Coziest Tradition

Every St. Louis family has a Garden Glow strategy, and the smart ones route through the warmth of the Holiday Flower and Train Show. The Missouri Botanical Garden’s beloved annual display returns with the Glow season, sending charming model trains traveling through miniature landscapes banked with poinsettias and vibrant holiday plants.

The show — open nightly during Garden Glow hours and included with Glow admission — is built for lingering: kids track the trains through tunnels and tiny towns while generations of grandparents point out favorite details, in a conservatory that smells of greenery and glows against the winter dark outside.

Pair it with cocoa and a slow loop of the lights, and you have the coziest hour of the St. Louis holidays.

The Holiday Flower and Train Show runs during Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Garden, 4344 Shaw Boulevard. Details at mobot.org.
