The holidays are about to glow brighter than ever! WildLanterns, the spectacular lantern festival presented by Kaiser Permanente, returns to Woodland Park Zoo from November 13, 2026 through January 17, 2027 with an all-new, larger-than-ever show.
Step into a world of light and wonder on an immersive journey across the seven continents and beneath the ocean’s surface. Encounter playful penguins and majestic orcas in icy waters, marvel at snow leopards perched on Asia’s rugged cliffs, and roam alongside glowing giraffes, zebras and lions on the African savanna. Discover Australia’s marvelous marsupials, stroll through Europe’s picturesque meadows, dive into a dazzling underwater world of tropical fish and coral reefs — and don’t miss the Interactive Zone, designed to enchant kids of all ages.
The fun goes beyond the lanterns: special themed evenings include Low Sensory nights, Night Owls 21+ evenings, Pop Star Night, Seattle Sports Night and a Holiday Senior Stroll with 40% off for adults 65 and older. Tickets are 10% off through October 31, zoo members save 20%, and every ticket sold supports the animals who call the zoo home plus more than 30 wildlife conservation projects around the world. Enter through the West or South entrance — this is Seattle’s most magical holiday tradition.
