San Francisco families have a happy Halloween date to circle: the Randall Museum hosts its annual Family Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., under the theme “The Magic of Halloween.”
Children are encouraged to come in costume to the museum at 199 Museum Way, on the slopes of Corona Heights Park. The morning is packed with ghoulish games, creepy crafts, tricks and treats, costume awards, live music and entertainment in the theater, all designed for kids and their grown-ups to enjoy together.
Best of all, admission to the Randall is free, and the celebration mixes free fun with low-cost activities, so families can join the party without stretching the budget. Some hands-on activities may carry a small on-site fee, so bringing a few dollars for crafts and games is a good idea.
The Randall Museum, part of the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, fosters a love of science, nature and the arts, and its family festivals are a beloved neighborhood tradition. Arrive in costume, bring your Halloween spirit, and let the little wizards, superheroes and friendly ghosts take over Corona Heights for one magical morning.
