Free Halloween Hoopla Brings Circus Bella and a Costume Parade to Yerba Buena Gardens

San Francisco’s sweetest Halloween tradition for little ghouls is back: the 26th annual Halloween Hoopla returns to the Children’s Garden at Yerba Buena Gardens on Saturday, October 31, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. — and it is completely free.

Part of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, the afternoon is designed for kids under 10 and their adults, with awe-inspiring performers from Circus Bella accompanied by live music from the Circus Bella All-Star Trio. Families can explore the Yerba Buena Pumpkin Patch, enjoy crafts and activities with SCRAP, the Children’s Creativity Museum and the Mexican Museum, and even try a palm reading with Madam Z.

The grand finale is the beloved Halloween Costume Parade, where pirates, ghosts, goblins and every playful costume in between take over the garden in one joyful procession.

The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival is celebrated for presenting free arts and cultural programs in the heart of downtown San Francisco — and on Halloween afternoon, its Children’s Garden at 799 Howard Street is simply the happiest place in the city to be.
