San Francisco’s Italian Heritage Parade Brings Music, Food and Pride to North Beach on October 11

North Beach is about to get loud, proud and delicious! San Francisco celebrates its Italian roots with the annual Italian Heritage Parade on Sunday, October 11, 2026, a joyful march through the heart of the city’s most Italian neighborhood.

The parade steps off from Jefferson and Powell streets and winds through North Beach with marching bands, colorful floats, classic cars and community groups, all wrapped in the unmistakable aroma of the neighborhood’s legendary bakeries, cafés and trattorias. Expect live music, dancing in the streets and plenty of green, white and red flying everywhere.

It is one of the city’s most beloved fall traditions — a day when generations of Italian-American families celebrate their heritage alongside neighbors and visitors from every corner of the Bay Area. Come hungry, bring the kids, and stay after the parade to linger over espresso, fresh focaccia or a scoop of gelato.

October in San Francisco keeps delivering. See you in North Beach on the 11th!
